This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Redlands is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Redlands is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Extremely good value, tasty food, clean and fast restaurant. We went in on a weeknight for dinner, their combo was a great option. Highly recommend!

Stopped here on my drive from Los Angeles to Tempe and had a great experience. The food is really good—slightly Americanized, but it still keeps that authentic North Indian taste, which I really liked. If you’re a non-vegetarian, I highly recommend trying their combo meals. The portions were generous and definitely the best value for the price. Perfect stop if you’re craving Indian food on a road trip!

The absolute best hidden gem in Redlands! If you’re looking for excellent flavor and great customer service this is the place. They have a hot line with a great selection that changes daily. You cannot beat the pricing for the 1,2 or 3 item combo. The combo comes with rice, garlic naan and a drink. It’s my favorite place to eat and I dream about the food all week! Highly recommend the Mushroom Masala, Saag Paneer, Vegetable Korma and the Chicken Tikka Masala.

Absolutely incredible Indian restaurant! A huge variety of dishes and meats to choose from. The staff is friendly, attentive, and provides excellent service. I chose the lamb biryani — it was incredibly delicious. I was especially impressed by the presentation. The dish was served on a beautiful metal plate with no chips or cracks, which made the experience even more pleasant. When the food arrived, I was truly amazed — both aesthetically and gastronomically. Freshly prepared food, tender and flavorful meat, and outstanding quality. I also appreciated the complimentary snack from the restaurant — crispy bread, almost like chips, and very tasty. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend everyone to visit this place!

I recently visited Namaste India Café in Redlands, and it was a really enjoyable experience! The dumplings (momos) were fresh and flavorful — perfectly steamed with a nice balance of spice in the dipping sauce. The sekuwa had that authentic, smoky grilled flavor that reminded me of traditional Nepali-style barbecue, tender and well-seasoned. The chicken tikka was juicy and cooked just right, with a rich marinade that had just enough heat and depth of flavor. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that a couple of items could have been a bit hotter when served, but overall, the taste and quality were excellent. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving authentic South Asian flavors in Redlands!
